Testosterone injections are a type of hormone replacement therapy. They involve your All Health Medical Group provider administering an injection of testosterone into the gluteal muscles in your buttocks.

After a man turns 30, his natural testosterone production declines by about 1% each year. Though normal, these low testosterone levels increase the risk of side effects, including fatigue, loss of muscle mass, and low libido. 

Testosterone injections increase the amount of testosterone in your blood. With adequate levels of testosterone, your body can better regulate things like body fat, muscle mass, bone density, and red blood cell count.

What symptoms indicate I might benefit from testosterone injections?

You might benefit from testosterone injections if you experience symptoms like:
